I felt ‘Good Stuff’ was pretty average. I mean, I’d almost say it’s under average and that I’d rather have a cheaper ‘six dollar burger’ from Carl’s Jr. I would have saved myself about 3 bucks if I had decided on that route. Oh well, ‘Good Stuff’ seems to get plenty of business but it’s probably not because of its burgers.
Great coffee starts with a burr grinder. Grinding beans right before use helps keep all of the natural oils and flavors intact until the moment you brew. This is exactly what ‘Our Daily Grind’ does and that is what makes their coffee superior to pretty much any other place in El Segundo. If you’re in the neighborhood of LAX / El Segundo (and Venice is just too far away), then this is the place to get your coffee fix.
Now, I’m probably the last guy on this bandwagon, but I’m definitely on the bandwagon now. I just really dig their sound. I’m still going through their album ‘Brothers’ and so far so good.

I’m trying to set up an entire java dev environment with STS / Eclipse and this is just the first step. Hopefully it is the right first step, I’ll keep you updated.

Open a terminal
Since the repo isn’t available by default add it to apt by running this command:
sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ lucid partner"
To get those changes:
sudo apt-get update
then run
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-jdk
Here’s another band I had the opportunity to see before they got huge. I guess I could see them become big back in the day, but I didn’t really see them in the form they are currently. At least they have stuck with their really nice visuals. In this case, LCD Soundsystem’s song is actually much better with the video.
Looks like She & Him got a ton of money to make this video.

So I wish I had something in place to track the progress of this deal. It seems really interesting how fast it’s being purchased. I think its really gained momentum since the east and the west coast of the US are both awake now.
As an update, this deal ended with 1.3 million units sold. As a further note, livingsocial is partially supported (or even owned) by Amazon.com.
Okay, so who actually needs this much caffeine and sugar? I think there is a very real possibility of someone dying from drinking one too many ‘trentas!’ Anyway, prepare to ‘enjoy’ these bladder busting drinks at a Starbucks near you on February 1st. As a note, 31 ounces is 1 ounce away from being an entire liter, so can we bring in our nalgenes and have them fill it up?
